Eligibility Criteria for TN BSc Nursing Admission 2025

All students must meet the detailed eligibility criteria listed below to participate in the TN BSc Nursing admission process. In case any student fails to meet either of the following, they will not be deemed eligible to take part in the Tamil Nadu Nursing counselling 2025.

  • All students must have completed their 10+2 in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects, and 45% marks in aggregate.

  • Students must be citizens of India and domiciled in the state of Tamil Nadu.

  • Tamil Nadu domiciled students will be given preference over others, and therefore, students must produce residency proof, nativity certificates, and proof of primary education in a state-recognized board.

  • Non-native students can also participate in the TN BSc Nursing admission 2025 if they have completed their 10+2 from a Tamil Nadu recognized board of education and produce proof of their nativity certificates.

  • Tamil Nadu native students will only be eligible for communal reservations, while the non-natives of Tamil Nadu will be treated as Open category competitors.

  • Students from other states who have completed their 8th to 12th grades and their Diploma in Nursing in Tamil Nadu will be classified under the Open Competition (OC) category.

  • The minimum age requirement for the admission process is 17 years as on December 31, 2025. The maximum age requirement for the same is 30 years for the OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC category students and 35 years for the SC/SCA/ST category students.

  • The DME authorities will announce Tamil Nadu merit list dates, and the counselling dates will be available online on the official website.
