TANCET 2026 Exam

TANCET 2026 Exam will be conducted by Anna University in March 2026. The dates related to the TANCET exam 2026 will be released soon on the official website at tancet.annauniv.edu. The exam is conducted for admissions to MCA and MBA courses across Tamil Nadu. Over 2500 colleges will take part in the admission processes under TANCET 2026. To qualify for the exam, it is important to score a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) for MBA courses and a bachelor's degree in BCA, B.Sc., or any other bachelor’s degree that includes mathematics in 10+2 or graduation for MCA courses are required. The TANCET 2026 exam pattern contains 100 MCQs that are required to be completed within 120 minutes, further subdivided into 4 categories for MCA and 5 for MBA.

About TANCET

TANCET is a state-level entrance exam for admission to postgraduate professional courses like as MBA and MCA and CEETA PG is conducted for ME/MTech, and MArch/MPlan. Every year, Anna University, on behalf of DTE Chennai, administers this state-level entrance exams for admission to colleges in Tamil Nadu. TANCET 2026 Eligibility criteria

TANCET Eligibility Criteria 2026 has been released by Anna University at tancet.annauniv.edu/tancet. To be eligible to apply for TANCET 2026, candidates must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements set by the authorities as part of TANCET eligibility criteria 2026. To be eligible for various postgraduate programs, candidates must meet specific criteria. For an MBA, a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) is required. For MCA, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in BCA, B.Sc., or any other bachelor’s degree that includes mathematics in 10+2 or graduation, with the TANCET exam not having an upper age limit. For M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch/M. Plan a bachelor's degree in B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch, B.Pharm, or a master's degree in Science/Arts is necessary. Additionally, a minimum of 50% in graduation is mandated (45% for reserved categories), and mathematics must have been studied as a subject in 10+2 for MCA eligibility.

TANCET Exam Pattern 2026

The TANCET 2026 Exam Pattern varies by subject, with the MBA exam consisting of 100 questions divided into five sections: reading comprehension, quantitative aptitude, business analysis, data sufficiency, and English usage, while the MCA exam includes four sections: quantitative aptitude, analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, and computer awareness. Both exams are conducted for 2 hours and contain a total of 100 questions, with 115 for M.E./M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan candidates. Each section carries specific weightage: 25 questions for each MCA section and 20 for each MBA section, culminating in a total of 100 marks. As per the TANCET Exam Pattern 2026, the exam is conducted in English, employs multiple-choice questions with four answer choices, and is conducted in a pen-and-paper format. According to the TANCET marking scheme 2026, candidates will be given one mark for correct answers and deduct one-fourth of a mark for incorrect responses, which is equivalent to 0.25.

TANCET Admit Card 2026

TANCET 2026 Admit Card will be released at tancet.annauniv.edu via online mode. Candidates can download their hall ticket from the Anna University official website using their user ID and password.  The hall ticket provides information about the exam centre and the exam schedule. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) manages the TANCET 2026 counselling online for MBA admissions through GCT. To register, candidates need to apply online and pay a fee of INR 600 for general category students; a lower fee applies to SC/SCA/ST candidates from Tamil Nadu. TANCET Cutoff Marks 2026

TANCET cutoff 2026 refers to the minimum qualifying marks/ranks that students must obtain in the test to be admitted to TANCET participating institutes. TANCET 2026 cutoff is not publicly released by Anna University; nevertheless, candidates can consult the previous year's seat allotment list to learn the TANCET MBA last ranks. The seat allotment lists include the final ranks for admission to all government and non-government colleges in the state that accept TANCET. TANCET 2026 Seat Allotment

TANCET 2026 Seat Allotment will be released post counselling sessions. Candidates will be able to participate in the TANCET seat allotment 2026 after the release of the rank list.
