School Holiday 29 October 2025 : A low-pressure system, Mantha, is rapidly intensifying over the Bay of Bengal, posing a threat to Andhra Pradesh and Odisha with heavy rainfall, strong winds, and rising sea waves. The storm is expected to bring winds of up to 100-110 km/h. As a precautionary measure, schools in several districts of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Puducherry, and Puducherry will be closed on October 29, 2025. In Tamil Nadu, schools in districts such as Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Cuddalore, and Mayiladuthurai are likely to experience heavy rainfall, potentially leading to school closures. However, there is no official announcement on school holidays yet. Apart from that, schools in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, and Nagapattinam might also declare a holiday on October 29, 2025.
