CMR Institute of Technology was established in 2005 in 10 acres and built up area of 21,248.68 Sq.M. with a single - minded aim to provide a perfect platform to students in the field of Engineering, Technology and Management for their academic and overall personality development. The college has a rich tradition of soaring high with academic excellence & overall personal growth of students.

• Library: More than 312,000 volumes of 3900+ titles and 140+ plus national and international journals, 17 magazines and 7 newspapers are housed in the Central Library, which serves as the College's primary source of information. The "Bar Code Mechanism" (BCM) in the library's Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) makes it simple for the public to find the books they want. The seating capacity is 200. Students have access to a digital library as well.
• Research Center – Effective research is built on a solid foundation of a research centre. This campus, like many others, has established centres in related fields of modern technology. The institution has established many centres in each division to meet the needs of every department. Rapid prototyping, design of practical, beautiful, useable, and sustainable goods and manufacturing systems are the primary goals of the Centre for Additive Manufacturing and Product Design (CAPD).
• Laboratories - For the B.Tech programme, the department has built all of the necessary facilities, including classrooms, labs, and storage space. All of the Mechanical Engineering labs feature large, well-equipped spaces for students to conduct their experiments. For engineering design development, modification, analysis, or optimization, the well-established Computer-Aided Design & Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) laboratory was there to help. They have been created and outfitted in accordance with curricular standards. 
• Educational: It is possible to access a variety of online learning resources through the campus's Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). With the help of many multinational corporations, such as the Vasundhara Industrial Automation Learning Center, IBM's Center of Excellence for Software, the Microsoft IT Academy, and the Novell Center of Excellence, the CMRIT Hyderabad is able to provide the best learning facilities to its students. The IBM Entrepreneur Incubation Center is a cell for budding entrepreneurs on the IBM site.
• Environmental: In addition to water conservation, tree plantation, waste management, paperless work and alternative energy, CMRIT technical campus focuses on a variety of other aspects of 'Green Campus,' including mapping biodiversity. The CMRIT Hyderabad campus has beautiful and elegant buildings, grounds, a large sports field, and a green setting ideal for teaching and learning. • Recreational facilities – Every department at the CMR Central Auditorium has an air-conditioned seminar hall that is well-equipped and attractively decorated to host all of the organization's major workshops and seminars. The lecture rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia projectors and audio-visual equipment. Faculty and industry professionals hold interactive workshops for students periodically in each of the halls, which can hold up to 2000 people.
• Hostel- Hostel facility is available at CMRIT Hyderabad, and the charges are Rs.72,000 and Rs 69,000 for boys and girls respectively. The hostel is equipped with wifi. For the hostels located outside the campus, bus service is available. Hostels in Kompally, Medchal, and Kandlayakoya, among others, provide both AC and non-AC accommodations. CMRIT Hyderabad hostel registration is a one-step process, and payments must be paid in two instalments. Boys and girls have separate hostels.
• Sports - The department of physical education is responsible for maintaining the football, hockey, cricket, basketball, tennis, and volleyball fields, as well as the courts. The sports complex building has both indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, which may be used during and after college hours. Inter-collegiate competitions are also organised by the CMRIT Hyderabad's sports committee.

The college has a NSS unit, affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. This unit was established in September 2008, with an objective to develop the attitude of social service among the professional students and to make them into responsible citizens.

Motto: The motto of the National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) is "Not Me, But You". It expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless services and appreciation of another man's point of view and also show consideration towards fellow human beings. It underlines the welfare of an individual most necessary as is ultimately leads to the welfare of the society as a whole. Therefore the N.S.S. should aim to demonstrate this motto in its day-to-day activities.
