IIT Jammu Admission 2025 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

IIT Jammu admission is based on the scores of various entrance exams like the JEE Advanced, GATE, CAT, CSIR, etc. The admission process for the flagship course of the institute which is BTech, has started. Registrations for JEE Main 2024 session 2 have commenced on February 2, and the last date to register is March 2, 2024. JEE Main 2024 session 2 will be conducted from April 4 to April 15, 2024. B.Tech candidates have to first appear and qualify in JEE Main and then JEE Advanced for IIT Jammu admissions. The registrations for JEE Advanced 2024, will begin from April 21 to 30, 2024. The examination will be conducted on May 26, 2024. For M.Tech admissions at IIT Jammu, GATE 2024 will be held on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024.

The Application Process for Admission to the IIT Jammu in 2024

The IIT Jammu admission process differs depending on the program. Candidates must apply online for the entrance test and pay the required fees administered by the Joint Admission Board (JAB) through centralized counseling at the all-India level handled by JoSAA in order to be considered for admission to IIT programmes that are dependent on an entrance test. 

Following that, qualified applicants are invited to take the counseling process. Students who pass the entrance test are admitted to the IIT Jammu based on their scores and the availability of seats on the merit list.

The application process for admission into the IIT Jammu is as follows:

• The candidate must register for the JEE Entrance test and complete the application form by giving basic information and educational credentials.
• Applicants must upload their photographs and needed papers after completing the application. 
• Applicants must pay the fee at the end of the application process.
• Once they get selected for the JEE Mains Exams and then they need to attend the JEE Advanced Test administered by the Joint Admission Board (JAB) through centralised counselling at the all-India level handled by JoSAA.

For Admission into B.Tech

• The Candidate should take the JEE-Mains and JEE-Advanced exam administered by the Joint Admission Board (JAB) through centralized counseling at the all-India level handled by JoSAA and get a valid score.
• The Candidate must apply for counseling and choose IIT Jammu as your preferred institute.
• Then the Candidate must attend counseling and go through the same process.
• To affirm admission, the candidate must submit the certificates during counseling by paying the relevant fees.

For Admission into M.Tech/MSc/MS(R)

• For admission to MTech/MSc/MS(R) programmes, applicants must register and complete the application online exclusively at eg.iitjammu.ac.in/PG application.
• All applicants applying for M.Tech programmes must register at the Common Offer Acceptance Site (https://coap.iitb.ac.in), and their COAP registration number is required for filling out the application form on the IIT Jammu application portal. The admission offer will be issued via the COAP site. The information given by the application is the applicant's responsibility. IIT Jammu or COAP accepts no responsibility for incorrect information given by other parties.
• Applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 300 for General/Gen-EWS/OBC applicants and Rs 200 for SC/ST/PWD candidates per department. Candidates can pay the application cost online or using a debit or credit card. Additional fees will be charged in accordance with the relevant bank's policies. 

For Admission into PhD Program

• An online gateway is available for students to apply for the PhD program. 
• The candidate must suit the eligibility criteria offered by the IIT Jammu.

Application Fee for JEE:

• Male applicants from the unreserved/OBC category will have to pay Rs 650.
• Female applicants from the unreserved/OBC category will be charged Rs 325.
• Candidates from the SC/ST/PWD/Transgender categories will be charged Rs 325.
• It is advised that candidates preserve their payment slips until the admissions process is concluded.

• The results of the first round of seat allocation are likely to be released after the process.
