BITSDAT Selection Process 2026

The selection process for the BITS Design School BDes Honours programme involves 3 stages:

• Stage 1: Students submit their merit and entrance test scores, and on their basis, they are either selected or rejected.
• Stage 2: Selected students are then called in for the Portfolio Evaluation or the Interview Round.
• Stage 3: Students who qualify the portfolio or the interview round receive an offer letter to the BITS Pilani Design School, Mumbai.

Students are assessed based on a number of factors when they appear for the BITS Design Aptitude Test. Aspirants must be aware of each of these factors to better their chances of getting selected:

• Career Commitment: For the BITS Design Aptitude Test and the Portfolio Evaluation Round, students are assessed on the basis of how dedicated they are towards making a career in the field of design.
• Creative Inclination: Students must be strongly inclined towards creative methods while addressing different projects and having a strong sense of aesthetics and a keen eye for observation is another important factor that is taken into consideration.

BITSDAT Admission Process

Admissions to the BITS Design School, Mumbai are based on both Merit as well as entrance exam scores. Mentioned below are the steps that are followed by this design institute to offer students a seat in this college:

• First and foremost, students must register themselves for the BITS BDes programme admissions by visiting their official website.
• After their successful registration students are required to submit their entrance exam scores (UCEED/ NID DAT/ BITSDAT Exams) to the concerned authorities.
• If the student manages to qualify based on their merit and entrance exam scores, then they will be called in for the portfolio evaluation and interview round.
• Only after clearing the interview round will a student be offered a seat in the BDes Honours programme at the BITS Pilani Design School, Mumbai.
