About NEET Counselling 2025 (Special Stray Vacancy Registration Last Date Nov 3)

The NEET 2025 counselling special stray vacancy round registration will conclude on November 3, 2025. The special stray vacancy round for NEET UG 2025 commenced on  October 30, 2025. Students can fill & lock their choices for the special stray vacancy round from November 1, 2025, to November 5, 2025, online. The special stray vacancy round seat allotment list will be out on November 8, 2025.

The NEET 2025 Counselling is conducted in online mode, in about three to five rounds initially, followed by an extended round of counselling if seats remain vacant. The NTA declared the NEET 2025 Result on June 14, 2025, along with the category-wise NEET cutoff. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET 2025 AIQ Counselling on behalf of the NTA for 15% seats. The remaining 85% State Quota seats will be filled through the state-wise counselling process, conducted by the respective counselling authorities.

To understand the NEET UG 2025 Counselling process in detail, follow the step-by-step guidelines provided below for an in-depth idea:

Stage 1: NEET Counselling 2025 Registration

• All eligible students are required to participate in and complete the online registration process for the NEET counselling.
• To register online, students must visit the official website of NEET UG 2025 Counselling and click on the direct link provided on the homepage.
• All students are required to fill in important details, such as personal information, educational qualifications, NEET score, and rank obtained, as well as other related details.
• Once the details have been filled out, students must click on the submit button. A copy of the registered counselling roll number and password will be sent to the students at their registered email address.
• Now, students are required to log into the NEET 2025 Counselling portal and complete the remaining steps for registration, such as uploading all the specified 

Stage 2: Choice Filling for NEET Counselling 2025

• The next step of the counselling process is participating in the NEET 2025 Choice Filling process on the official portal of MCC.
• During this process, students are required to select three choices of colleges and courses for admission in order of preference, from the listed options in the dropdown menu. 
• The choice filling process is conducted based on the students’ NEEET score and the seat matrix of the participating colleges. 
• To confirm your choices, you must lock them by clicking on submit button. 
• For instance, when a student forgets to lock their choices manually, they will be automatically locked as soon as they click on the submit button.
• Students must note that no further edits will be entertained after this. Make sure you have a copy with you for future reference.

Step 3: Pay NEET Counselling 2025 Fees

• To confirm their choices and registration, students must pay the requisite NEET 2025 counselling fees as specified by the category-wise fee structure.
• Along with the counselling fee, students are also required to pay a security deposit, which is refundable after the admission process is completed.
• The modes of payment for the counselling fee are Debit card, Credit card, Net banking, or UPI. 
• In case any student fails to pay the counselling fee, their candidature will be deemed invalid. 

Stage 4: NEET Counselling Seat Allotment 2025

• The NEET 2025 seat allotment process will be conducted as the final stage of the counselling process.
• This round of the NEET counselling process is conducted based on the choices filed out by the students during the choice-filling process. 
• The seat allotment is administered separately for each round of counselling, and the results for every round are published based on the seat matrix of the participating colleges.
• Students can either accept their allotted seats or participate in the next round of counselling again. 
• To confirm the assigned seats, students will have to pay the admission fee as per the college guidelines.

What is NEET Counselling Mop Up Round 2025?

Mop-up round is the final round of counselling for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to fill the remaining vacant seats in MBBS/BDS courses in government, deemed, and private medical colleges across India. • The mop-up round is conducted after the first two main rounds of counselling are completed. It is conducted to fill the remaining vacant seats in the participating colleges.

• During the mop-up round, the seats are allotted to the candidates based on their NEET scores, preferences, and the availability of seats.

• Students who have not registered earlier or those who have registered but have not been allotted any seat in the earlier rounds of counselling can participate in the mop-up round.

• After the mop-up round of NEET Counselling 2025, if any seats remain vacant, then the colleges can conduct a stray vacancy round to fill the remaining vacant seats. In the stray vacancy round, the seats are allotted to the candidates on a first-come-first-serve basis.

What is the NEET Stray Vacancy Round 2025?

The NEET Stray Vacancy Round 2025 is conducted after the Mop-Up or 3rd round of counselling, to fill the remaining vacant seats at the participating colleges. The NEET 2025 Stray Vacancy Round of counselling is conducted only if some of the seats remain unfilled even after the first three rounds of counselling sessions.
