VITMEE 2026 Counselling

You can expect the VITMEE 2026 counselling to start online in May 2026 after the VITMEE 2026 results are announced. If you qualify, either by clearing the VITMEE exam or through a valid GATE 2026 score, you will be invited to participate in the counselling process. It involves registering yourself, filling out your course and college preferences, seat allotment based on merit, and document verification. It is advisable to choose multiple courses and campuses during the choice filling stage to increase your chances of admission. Candidates with good GATE scores will be given priority. You will receive updates via email or SMS regarding counselling dates and procedures. The final seat allotment will be strictly merit-based, and once allotted, the seat cannot be changed. VITMEE 2026 Counselling Procedure

Candidates are advised to take a look at the detailed counselling process of VITMEE 2026. This will enable them to understand the steps that need to be followed during the VITMEE counselling process 2026.

Registration and Document Verification:

• The candidate must first register for the VITMEE 2026 counselling

• Candidates are required to produce all the original copies of the documents required at the time of registration.

• Candidates must not forget to keep a set of extra photocopies of all the documents that are to be submitted at the time of counselling.

Choice Filling and Seat Allocation:

• Candidates can select their college of preference at the time of counselling.

• The decision of the concerned authority will be the final decision for the seat allotment.

• Seat allotment will also be determined by the availability of seats

Admission and Fee Payment:

• After successfully qualifying all the above-mentioned steps, the documents of the VITMEE 2026 candidates will be forwarded for admission

• Admission confirmation will be based on the marks and rank scored by the candidates in the VITMEE 2026 exam

• Candidates must submit the counselling fee and proceed further to complete the VITMEE 2026 counselling procedure

• Shortlisted candidates should pay Rs 1 lac towards advance fees

• This amount is non-refundable and will be adjusted in the admission once the candidature is confirmed

Important Points for VITMEE 2026 Counselling Procedure

• Candidates must produce the VITMEE 2026 admit card at the time of counselling

• Candidates will be informed through personal SMS to the registered mobile number or the official website about the interview/counselling at Vellore/ Chennai

• The counselling fee is non-refundable, but it will be adjusted in the tuition fees once the candidate joins the University

• Candidates who fail to pay the advance fee at the time of counselling will not be considered for admission

• After registering for counselling, candidates are required to complete their document verification procedure

• Seats and campus once allotted to the candidates cannot be changed under any circumstances

Documents to be Produced at the Time of VITMEE Counselling Process 2026

The candidate must produce the following documents in original for verification, along with one-set of photocopies while reporting for the VITMEE counselling 2026. Candidates will not be permitted to participate in the interview without these documents.

• Hall ticket of the Entrance Examination

• X and XII Std. Marksheet

• Mark Sheets of all semesters/ years of the qualifying examination up to a pre-final/ final year, as applicable

• Qualifying Degree / Provisional Certificate (If already received)

• Transfer Certificate obtained from the college/ university last studied (If already received)

• Valid GATE 2026 scorecard for candidates applying for M.Tech. (if applicable)

• Service Certificate/ No Objection Certificate issued by the Employer. (For sponsored candidates for M.Tech. programmes only)

• Community Certificate (for all categories except OC/ General)

• Demand Draft for INR 12,000, drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore.

• Conduct Certificate

• Student Profile

• Physical Fitness Certificate

• Advance Fee Receipt

• An admission letter and a photocopy of the programme fee receipt

• Four copies of a recent passport-size colour photograph

• An undertaking for good conduct and behaviour in a prescribed form(to be issued by the University at the time of admission)

• Affidavit to be signed separately by the student & parent in Rs. 20/- Stamp Paper. Two copies and notified of all original certificates.

Only after verification of these documents, the candidate be allowed to participate in the counselling.
